"2-year Post study work Visa in the UK for Indian Students"

The UK has introduced a 2-year Graduate Immigration Route (GIR) for international students to work or can search for work at any skill level after completion of Bachelor , Master or higher degree at a UK university.

The new proposal will allow international students to stay in the country for 2 years after graduating. The post-study work visa will enable eligible students to work or job hunt at any skill level, and they will be able to switch to the skilled work route if they find a job which fulfills its requirements / criteria. Graduate Route
The Graduate Visa will be available to international students who have completed a degree in the UK from summer 2021.

This will enable international students to remain in the UK and work at any skill level for two years after they have completed their studies.

International students who complete a PhD from Summer 2021 can stay in the UK for three years after study to live and work. This will make it easier for some of the best young international graduates to secure skilled jobs in the UK and contribute to economic growth.

In the table below we show how someone who has at least 80% or 90% of the relevant salary for their occupation (whether that is the £25,600 threshold or the going rate), and therefore scores 0 or 10 points for salary, could make up the points elsewhere by scoring points for another attribute, for instance, working in a shortage occupation or having a relevant PhD.

Requirements

There are many different entry requirements depending on your chosen type of UK study. The great thing about studying in the UK is that even if you don’t meet the requirements for one course, you can choose another at a different level and work your way up. The UK offers a range of study options to suit international students at all levels. The qualifications you’ll need will depend on the course you want to study. Some qualifications (such as A-levels Scottish Highers and and BTEC National Diplomas) are below university level and lead directly on to higher education.

Admission Process

The completed application forms are reviewed before they are submitted to your final choice of universities.Full details of your education including your course subjects and grades are required in the applications. Transcripts or official records of your previous academic qualifications are crucial for your application.
Students applying for admission are required to submit an official transcript from each college or university that they have attended after secondary school with complete details of the subjects, credits involved and other details like correspondence courses, diplomas etc. Most universities ask for the transcript to be sealed in an envelope and signed and attested across the seal by the registrar. This procedure is to be done for each and every college that you have attended. Some universities may ask for more than one transcript but most require only one.
If the originals are not in English, copies and a good English translation must be enclosed. If your undergraduate qualification or university is unknown to the admissions tutor, the British Council would be able to advise. The completed application forms are reviewed before they are submitted to your final choice of universities.

Cost of Education

This guide outlines the cost of fees, accommodation, lifestyle and financial assistance options if you are planning to study in the UK. Students will typically stay in university accommodation for the first year and then move to private housing for the second and third years.
